THE PAINTED HOUSE GITES
The Painted House and her gites offer luxury accommodation brimming with character in the beautiful town of Châteauneuf-sur-Charente. The building was formerly the showroom for local interior designer Monsieur Paul Rousseau who decorated the rooms and used them to commission work from local châteaus. It has been lovingly renovated to honour its heritage and provide the finest comfort for its guests.
OUR GITES
The five gites have all been recently refurbished and have been designed for those seeking relaxation and comfort. The gites can accommodate up to 16 guests and are situated in our large west facing garden, which backs on to the local park. It is the perfect venue for hosting family reunions, groups of friends or activity groups who wish to holiday together yet still enjoy their own space. Alternatively, they are available to rent individually.

The Painted House Gites is the perfect accommodation for large groups such as wedding parties and club trips. We are able to host up to 16 guests in our gites. Châteauneuf-sur-Charente
Châteauneuf-sur-Charente is a riverside town to be found midway between Angouleme and Cognac in the beautiful southwest of France. The town benefits from a station with regular trains to Angouleme in the east, from where you can get the fast train to Paris. Heading west the trains go to Saintes, Bordeaux and on to the beautiful seaside town of La Rochelle.
